Ian Scott Kettle
London based fashion designer, Ian Scott Kettle is pioneering an exciting new wave in bespoke menswear accessory design from his studio at Cockpit Arts where he designs, makes and also teaches in his Studio Workshops.
His work is informed by history and his extensive knowledge of traditional craftsmanship, but has been re-invented for the modern gentleman.
Ian graduated from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art and has collaborated & worked with Alberta Ferretti, Erdem, Dexter Wong, Bruce Oldfield, Bora Aksu and Joe Casely-Hayford.
His work has featured in Vogue, WWD, I.D., Nylon, Dazed & Confused and 125 magazine and his commissions have been worn by Cindy Sherman & Michael Jackson and worked on multidisciplinary projects within fashion, art & film.
A well-respected and inspiring teacher, Ian has taught fashion design at Central Saint Martins for the last fifteen years, and is currently the course director of the Free Elective Study Abroad Fashion Programme FESP. Ian lectures nationally & internationally on fashion design and has been instrumental in setting up and delivering courses in USA, Mexico City, Buenos Aires and China.
When he isn’t designing for his own range and teaching, he is developing a book on the process of design for fashion.
