Typology Origins
Neck Tie: A derivative of the 17th century cravat, the neck tie, as we know it today, was popularised around the industrial revolution, a time where mass production democratised the wearing of, previously unobtainable, refinement for the masses. Neckties today symbolise sartorial grooming and professionalism.
