Storytelling from the British timeline
‘The Wheel’ Marks the unfolding seasons amid the turning off the year, mapping the annual cycle and charting unfolding time. Marked by Equinox & Solstice, phases of the Moon and the cycles of the seasons. Plotting rituals of folklore, heritage and the geology of Britain has become the foundation for my work and teaching!
A counterpoint to the accelerating pace of life’s journey, to foster long-term thinking:
Working towards an optimistic and sustainable future
Rewards anticipation and patience
Preserving possibilities for the future
Fostering responsibility
Leveraging longevity

Ian graduated of Saint Martins and The Royal College of Art.
A London-based fibre artist and bespoke maker of mens stitch based accessories.
The work is informed by an exploration of time and a love of traditional men's cloth accessories from the 11th to the 20th century, reimagined through modern cutting methods and classic bespoke construction. Exploring time as the foundation of research, while reintroducing stitch based mens accessories, that have been lost to time.
